Terms of Use

Effective October 1, 2026

These terms govern the use of the Lunchou app, operated by Marie-Charlotte Cantera, 2121, avenue Papineau, Montréal (Québec) H2K 0E6 (“we”). By downloading or using Lunchou, you accept these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your personal information.

1. The service

Lunchou offers lunch and snack ideas for kindergarten and elementary school children, a weekly menu planner, hot and cold recipes, age-appropriate portions and a grocery list. The content is provided for information purposes to help parents plan school lunches.

The app is intended for adults. You must be 18 or the age of majority in your province or state to subscribe.

2. Lunchou Family subscription

Plans and prices

Taxes are added where applicable. The exact price, including taxes, is shown by the App Store or Google Play before you confirm the purchase. One subscription covers the whole family on the Apple or Google account that purchased it, according to that store’s family sharing rules.

Free trial

New subscribers get a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial, the subscription begins and the first payment is charged to your Apple or Google account. The free trial is offered only once per account.

Automatic renewal

The subscription renews automatically for the same length and at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal payment is charged within the 24 hours before the end of the period. If the price changes, Apple or Google will notify you and, where the law or their rules require it, ask for your consent before applying it.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time, at no cost, in your account settings:

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.

Refunds

Payments are collected by Apple or Google, which handle refund requests under their own policies: reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple and Google Play Help for Google. This section does not limit the rights granted to you by Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act, and nothing in it limits the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your own state or province.

3. Allergies, health and food safety

Lunchou does not replace the advice of a health professional. The recipes and menus are general suggestions. You remain responsible for what you serve your child.

4. Your use

You may use Lunchou for your personal and family needs. You agree not to copy, resell or redistribute the app’s content (recipes, text, images), not to try to bypass the subscription, and not to use the app unlawfully.

The information you enter (first names, photos, preferences) belongs to you and stays on your phone. Only add photos you have the right to use.

5. Intellectual property

The app, its name, logo, recipes, text and illustrations belong to us or are used with permission. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use for its duration. It does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

6. Availability and changes

We regularly add and change recipes and features. We make reasonable efforts to keep the app working well, but it may occasionally be interrupted, for example during an update or if the App Store or Google Play is not responding.

If we were to stop offering Lunchou, we would notify you in the app and renewals would be stopped.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the app, including a reaction to a food when the precautions in section 3 were not followed. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where the law prohibits it, including toward consumers under Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act and the Civil Code of Québec, and nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your own state or province.

8. Apple and Google

These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, which are not responsible for the app or its content. If you downloaded Lunchou from the App Store, Apple’s Standard License Agreement also applies; in case of conflict, these terms prevail to the extent permitted. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

9. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a significant change affects your rights or the price, we will inform you in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. You may then cancel your subscription at no cost.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim before the court of your place of residence.
